On February 1, 2022, The City of Yorba Linda Unanimously Approved The 2021-2029 Housing Element Becoming The First City in Orange County To Do So. Shortly afterwards, the State of California Housing and Community Development Agency Certified the City’s 2021-2029 Housing Element.

In that Housing Element, the City of Yorba Linda planned for 35 units per acre and up to 320 residential units being built on the 9.15 acres of what is today the Bryant Ranch Shopping Center. The Yorba Canyon Plan for that same property would cut residences by 15% from what the city approved to be built in their 2021-2029 plan.
